CASA V
Welcome to Casa V!
“V” is for Vieques, one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean
and our home away from home. With its year round warm turquoise water,
miles of beautiful cool sand beaches, warm Caribbean sunshine and
cooling tropical breezes, you’ll love this vacation destination as much
as we do.
“V” is for the ‘V’ in the road connecting the neighborhoods of
Bravos de Boston and Santa Maria where our home is located. We stumbled
upon Vieques by winning a raffle for a vacation on this beautiful
island. By the end of our first visit we were looking for a
home here. We found the Casa on our second visit to Vieques and knew it
had the kind of local feel we wanted in our second home. Casa V is only
minutes from the ferry dock and conveniently located within walking
distance to a variety of restaurants, bars, bakeries, and shops, a well
stocked grocery store, the island’s only internet café, banks the post
office and other amenities. Taxi service is available at the bottom of
our street. A historical lighthouse, beach and fort are nearby.
“V”
is for the view. From the Casa’s rooftop deck, you have a great view of
the ocean during the day and can watch sunset over the water. The
rooftop deck also gives you a great view of Fort Marisol which is
beautifully lit up at night. The deck is also a great place to have an
after sunset cocktail under the stars. The Casa also has a ‘marquesina’
style wraparound porch enclosed by rejas with a table and chairs which
allows you to have meals on the porch, an afternoon drink or just relax
in the shade and read a book. If you prefer to be outdoors but in the
shade, you can sit by the large mango trees in the backyard which will
provide you with shade if the sun gets to be too much.
Casa
V is a 3 bed, 2 bath well appointed home in the heart of Isabel Segunda
II, which is the less touristy town on the island. The Casa sleeps 8 and
includes two bedrooms with queen sized beds; a third furnished with a
day bed that can be used as 1 or 2 twin beds or converted to a king size
bed, and a futon couch in the living room that can be converted into a
full size bed. All sleeping accommodations have an ample supply of 100%
cotton sheets, blankets and hypo-allergenic pillows. All bedrooms as
well as the living room and kitchen have ceiling fans; the master
bedroom is also air conditioned and has a private door to the backyard.
There is also a television and DVD player with some DVDs to watch for
those nights that you just want to kick back and relax.
The kitchen is fully equipped and includes:
- Full size refrigerator with freezer
- Four burner gas range with oven
- Microwave oven
- Automatic drip coffee maker with filters
- 4 slice toaster
- A blender
- Full set of pots and pans
- Dishes, glassware, utensils, serving dishes and food storage containers
- A wide variety of spices and other cooking needs on hand
The bathrooms are stocked with lots of 100% cotton towels, a
hairdryer, ironing board with iron and a full size washer and dryer for
your convenience. A supply of health/beauty and hygiene items are always
available for your use as well.
Additional amenities include:
- Beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, and an assortment of beach
towels
- A charcoal grill and grilling tools
- Books
- CD player
- Board games, cards, and puzzle books
- TV and DVD player as well as supply of movies
- Clock radios in all bedrooms
- Flashlights in all bedrooms

- Inside and outside dining areas
- Patio furniture for the porch and roof top deck
- A garage and driveway parking for 1 or more vehicles
- A fully fenced and landscaped yard
- Information and recommendations for restaurants, taxis and tours
For your additional convenience a stay at Casa V includes
transportation from the airport or ferry to the Casa: our property
manager will meet you when you arrive, take you to pick up your rental
car (if you have one) and take you to the Casa where a cold drink will
be waiting for you. And just in case you want to start your first
morning with a peaceful cup of coffee you‘ll find some of that waiting
too. We hope you will find our home as welcoming and relaxing as we do!
