Media Luna Beach
Beyond Sun Bay, Media Luna Beach is well protected from waves. Perfect for
families with little children as the water is very shallow for a
long way out. Lots of shade, and a good snorkeling, especially out
toward the mouth of the bay. String up a hammock and forget
your cares.
This is the only place in Vieques I ever saw a seahorse.
Very tiny and delicate, it swam in ankle-deep water on the eastern
end of the beach.
This beach, along with Sun Bay, is popular with locals and
main-islanders on holidays and summer weekends.
