La Hueca Beaches
La Hueca beaches are difficult to access except from Playa Grande, as most of the
coastal land is private.* There is some some shade along the many miles
of coast, good snorkeling, some good swimming, an occasional black
sand beach, but not much shallow water for little ones.
Dramatic cliffs in places; fun climbing on rocky shoreline.
*By law in Puerto Rico, all beach land is in the public domain up
to and including the high-tide mark. Fences you see extending
down into the water are to keep cattle from wandering into the
neighbor's property.
